Currently, wind turbines and other power sources such as tidal power stations and hydroelectric power installations are exclusively used to create electricity.

Conclusion

Heat pumps and other heat engines essentially use mechanical energy for cooling or heating. So why do we convert wind energy in electrical energy, and electrical energy in mechanical energy for heating and cooling? Using huge amounts of copper, magnets using rare raw materials and an expensive infrastructure is needed to transmit energy for that purpose.

Solution

Transmitting mechanical energy over some distance may have its limitations, but it has been done for hundreds of years in factories and industrial installations.
