Fuelling solar power through photosynthesis

Target groups

Other (Everybody)

Renewable energy is the future. The power of the sun is the most reliable source of renewable energy. The big wind power parks are facing an increasing opposition by the people.

It makes sense to use the energy of the sun. But not like it's used now through expensive solar panels.

Tapping the photosynthesis ability of plants to convert sunlight into energy.

What makes your solution unique?

How it works: Step 1

Photosynthesis is a chemical process that uses sunlight to turn carbon dioxide into glucose. Excess glucose is released through the roots into the soil and decomposed by microorganisms. This process releases protons and electrons.

How it works: Step 2

These free-floating electrons will be captured by a special membrane and two electrodes and generate electricity without damaging the plant. This electricity can be used to charge a battery.
