A golden silhouette of a deer couple is in the center of my Christmas card. They are facing each other in a neutral landscape that could be anywhere in the world. As an expression of their love and strength the deer's bell on the left is forming an array of golden stars in sky. While the white colour is symbolizing snow and winter time, the blue tones represent Unicef. The golden tones convey a warm atmosphere on the one hand. On the other hand, Gold is one of the most expensive metals. It holds much value in a small volume, it is durable, and virtually indestructible. Hence it is a great metaphor for the love between the deer couple and between people and the indestructible spirit of Christmas.
