Which of the three suggested areas are you choosing for your concept? (the Donaulände public park, the port area or the mouth of Traun River)?

THE PORT AREA - A port is also a bridge. Both things connects people and stuff. It is a place for transports. But nobody can live on a bridge, because it will be stop the transport and the connection between people. A bridge is a very important and sensible building, what the most people of today do not really notice anymore. If you have no bridge, then you will never know the other side and you will have a problem.

What is the public function of your concept?

OFFLOADING , TRADE, FAIRS & EVENTS with a ROOF GARDEN. It is a multifunctional space for connecting people from the river and the mainland. But it can be also connect the people of Linz. A bridge is also a multi object with different multi transports.

How are the parts of the old railway bridge visible in your concept?

All steel elements will be used and will be visible the basic structre of the old bridge. It is important to get the basic structure to preserve the history of the bridge and Linz. The bridge is a memory of the power of construction from the past. If you destroy your history, you will lost your identity.
