The idea was to make a metal silhouette crossing that goes above and below the water. The first part of the crossing is an arch and the second one is an underwater glass container. Due to the glazed floor the metal structure remains visible. The new structure goes above and below the existing pillars. The remains of the two bridges are combined and marked by a glass printed wall that surrounds one pillar. The glass wall is a commemorative plaque displaying information about the old bridges.
