A Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is what I consider essential gear: it goes with me everywhere (even if it has to ride in cargo). Without it, I am missing a cog, unable to fix a loose screw, snip a rope or cut a piece of cheese and spear the cork out of the wine bottle.
What does your design show?
I created a design of metallic gears to convey the essential place Victorinox Swiss Army Knife has in my life. It is not extraneous … it's necessary.
What is the unique idea about your design?
Everything in my life has a purpose… nothing is extraneous. Like a gear and it's cogs, all the parts work together.
Is there a special story behind your design?
I was traveling through France where we would purchase bottles of wine, cheese and bread to eat in the countryside. My Swiss Army Knife was all the cutlery I needed!
