The design is looking for harmony existence of different parties. Yellow is the students, blue is the government. Yellow umbrella represent the protection and hope. A student standing on top of the Lion Rock mountain and rise a umbrella represent Hong Kong spirit.
When a blue crack forms in the yellow crowd. Yellow umbrella is hope and protection. The yellow umbrella looks like star in the blue sky. It is harmony.
Yellow umbrella movement
Umbrella Movement or Umbrella Revolution, began in September 2014 when activists in Hong Kong protested outside the HKSAR government headquarters and occupied several major city intersections after China's Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPCSC) announced its decision on proposed electoral reform.
