Solution

The resplendent quetzal was considered divine, associated with the "snake god", Quetzalcoatl by Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican civilizations. Its iridescent green tail feathers, symbols for spring plant growth, were venerated by the ancient Aztecs and Maya, who viewed the quetzal as the "god of the air" and as a symbol of goodness and light. The Maya also viewed the quetzal symbolizing freedom and wealth.

What is the story behind your design?

I'm a traveller and I identified my self with the quetzal bird through it's freedom and the place where it comes from.

Is there a connection between your design and the Victorinox brand?

the freedom and adventure Victorinox users have.

Please make sure you have filled out your country of origin in your profile! It’s important that the regional Victorinox team understands the cultural background of your design.

I'm a Mexican, but I've traveled to many places of my own country, almost all south United States, part of west Canada and at the moment I'm living in Istanbul, Turkey. I'm planning to get on the road again on September traveling to east Europe and Iceland.
