He and his wife taught me how to cook the porcini, once we found enough. We not only shared meals but childhood stories and happy memories. I still have Börni’s old knife, and I carry it with me wherever I go, including to the Austrian forests, where I hunt my porcinis now. I would very much like to return the gift, in the form of a knife for mushroom collectors the world over and, hopefully, one for Börni’s daughter Angela, who, like me, spent her childhood hiking the forests with her dad.

See above description. I would like to have a replacement-Victorinox for Börni and like-minded porcini-aficionados the world over. Similarly, one could claim the Victorinox knife can even cut stone. Be it in the form of responsibly harvested stone-fleshed mushrooms.
