An Octopus made out of his own ink


A colorful octopus made out of watercolor in combination with perfect abstract forms.

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

The octopus because to me they are somehow represent something wild and free which is also mixed with calmness. I although like there colorfulness and magnificence.

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

The great wide ocean.

What story does your design tell?

It shows an octopus which is about to entwine the knife. He already placed to of his suckers on the surface ;)

What style did you choose for your design and why?

Aquarell and abstract forms. Two different Aquarelltones for the body and the tentacle of the octopus to shows there gelatinous consistency and differentiate between body and tentacles and the abstract forms for there famous sucker cups to give them a strong impact.

Hi! My name is Simon i am 28 Years old and live in Germany in a small town called Regensburg. I study architecture and on the way to my degree i discovered my passion for design and art. Since this moment i am doing different design and art projects when ever the chance is there. Like with one of my favorite projects right now, the Victorinox "Your Swiss Army Knife 2017" challenge.
