Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?
Ermine (Mustela erminea), also called stoat, short-tailed weasel, or Bonaparte weasel.
What culture or region does the animal stand for?
In my concept Ermine represents knightly culture so I think it's a story for all regions of the world.
What story does your design tell?
In Medieval Europe Ermine was a symbol of purity and royalty. Legend had it that an ermine would die before allowing its pure white coat to be besmirched. When it was being chased by hunters, it would supposedly turn around and give itself up to the hunters rather than risk soiling itself. Ermine often was a part of heraldic emblems. So i decide to draw Ermines as Knight and his Lady.
What style did you choose for your design and why?
Flat illustrative style with colors close to Medieval stained glass
