Solution

The dark colors underlines the legends, which are still remained in connection to wolves. The night and the moonlight underline the "spooky" and "mystic" connotation most of the people have in terms of them.

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

I choosed the wolf because he’s living in Europe and is back in Germany since 2000. Meanwhile round about 14 packs live here.

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

Germany / Europe

What story does your design tell?

The Design shows a wolf, which is back in Germany since 2000 and is more widespread here. Wolves are very shy and discovered sporadically. They communicate with wolf howling, which is 15 km perceptible. On the back side you can see the wolf while he is roaming through the dark forest.

What style did you choose for your design and why?

I choose a vector design to point out the mythos wolf. Dark colors underline the rarity of the wolf in Germany and also the legends, which are still remained in connection with wolves. Furthermore a stereotypical image illustrated by sketching the wolf in the moonlight, this is what most people think about when they hear about wolves.
