Lone Wolf
Representation of a Mexican Wolf

Abstraction of a wolf in a field and a close-up to its face, using an analogous colors harmony, with simple and clean shapes.

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

I used a Mexican wolf, one of the few endemic canines of the country, this one is an endangered species and survives due to being raised in captivity.

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

This wolf used to be found from southern USA to central Mexico.

What story does your design tell?

The wolves used to live beside the indigenous tribes; when the conquerors came and started chasing them, the wolves disbanded the packs and started hunting on their own instead. Nevertheless, there was a sort of bond left: when the old wolves perished, their spirit remained in the forest to take care of those left behind.

What style did you choose for your design and why?

The style is simple and uses few elements.

Please make sure you have filled out your country of origin in your profile! It’s important that the regional Victorinox team understands the cultural background of your design.
