Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?
The Zebra. I live in South Africa so I have the privilege and honor of viewing this majestic animal in its natural habitat. I would like to share this with the world.
What culture or region does the animal stand for?
The African wild
What story does your design tell?
Given the history of South Africa and racial segregation, it also serves as a symbolic reflection of our current culture of diversity.
What style did you choose for your design and why?
I hand drew the Zebra design using felt-tipped pens to create a unique and personal design with depth. I just felt that although there are tons of generic Zebra patterns out there, I wanted to truly own my design. Plus it was very therapeutic after a hard day at work :-)
Please make sure you have filled out your country of origin in your profile! It’s important that the regional Victorinox team understands the cultural background of your design.

Hey there. My name is Terena and I live in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have no design training, just ideas that I try my best to put into a visually appealing format. This Zebra design was hand drawn for Victorinox as a way to share a bit of my African heritage and remind the world about the beautiful creatures that walk the earth.
