My idea is to present this really rare and unique species with interesting and comic twist. I also want to share my concept of these bugs, I feel that they deserve more attention.
Svetlomrazec ( hates the light) is a bug which lives in Ledenika cave, Balkan Mountains. It looks like an ant but has very pale body. These animals are so sensitive to light that they can't live outside the cave.
This animal represents Bulgaria and Balkan Mountains.
The light burn vampire's skin, they are creatures of the night, living in the darkness. This provoked me to illustrate the bug as a vampire which is hiding from the Sun with its umbrella in contrast with the comfort of the dark, cozy home.
My design is a vector illustration with simple animation like design in order to show the comic side of the concept.
