My idea is to combine two opposite concept: slowness and speed. I tried to do it in a funny way, by using the figure of a snail for the first concept and a skateboard for the second one.
Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?
I chose a snail because of the common saying "as slow as a snail". Here in Italy is often used and it inspired me to create something that contradicts that meaning.
What culture or region does the animal stand for?
What story does your design tell?
My design shows a snail that finds an enjoyble way to be faster, so it jumps on a skateboard and starts hanging around the city, triggering curiosity and surprise in other snails.
What style did you choose for your design and why?
I chose vector, and this time I used very simple and childish lines, to show small details and give a fresh look, similar to comics.

Hi everyone! My name is Ilaria and I'm a junior graphic designer. I like to play with shapes and find smart graphic solutions, so working for Victorinox has been a great challenge for me! I like vector design, photo manipulation and I'm discovering the 3d modeling. I love to find new techniques and play with them to improve my skills.
