The essential message that my creation wants to transmit is that good things come to those who wait and we can always have pleasant surprises when we don't lose our patience.
Culturally, butterflies are a popular motif in the visual and literary arts. Also, I always found their metamorphosis quite an interesting phenomenon that shows us that something beautiful can emerge from something apparantly not so nice.
General culture
My design captures the final stages of the metamorphosis, in which the larva stays in its cocon and then when a new butterfly is ready to fly.
I wanted a style a bit different for this idea and I chose to create an illustration that looks more like a painting.
