I meant what I said, and I said what I meant, an elephants faithful, one hundred per cent. -Dr. Seuss
Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?
I chose an elephant because is a majestic, espiritual and religious animal in some countries, they are very intelligent and in my personal opinion they are basic for nature.
What culture or region does the animal stand for?
The Asian elephant appears in various religious traditions and mythologies. They are treated positively and are sometimes revered as deities, often symbolising strength and wisdom. Similarly, the African elephant is seen as the wise chief who impartially settles disputes among the forest creatures in African fables, and the Ashanti tradition holds that they are human chiefs from the past.
What story does your design tell?
Is an elephant with a lot of colors and designs in each part of it. Its based in a mandala and I try to combined dark and light colors. I relly enjoy doing it and most of all I realized how creative can I be.
What style did you choose for your design and why?
I chose a Mandala, it is full of different shapes and colors. It shows my feelings at the moment exactly I was drawing and coloring each part of it. A Mandala represents wholeness, a cosmic diagram reminding us of our relation to infinity, extending beyond and whitin our bodies and minds. The mandala represents three aspects of life, The Earth, The Sun, The Moon and more obviously the circles of life, friends, family and communities.
