"Meister Lampe" is the name of rabbits in old german tales. In these tales they are always very clever. Analogue to the front and back of the Swiss knife the rabbit is also shown with its front and back view. A characteristic for a rabbit is its hare tail. Here, it frames the opening in the lower part of the knife.

Solution
Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?
The Rabbit. Its a symbol for cleverness and its also cute and harmless.
What culture or region does the animal stand for?
Germany. Old tales like Grimms Märchen.
What story does your design tell?
My design resembles tales about rabbits ("Meister Lampe"). Their cleverness and cuteness are absolutely positive attributes. When you are very smart, you act like a rabbit. And what comes in handy when you are smart? A swiss knife, which is a very clever, versatile and handy tool.
What style did you choose for your design and why?
Realistic yet designed and constructed - like a good fairy tale.
