I choose a unique animal from Xochimilco and i created it like an aztec glyph.


The Axolotl is an exotic animal from Xochimilco, the aztecs are the representative culture from Pre-hispanic Mexico, so i combine them to create my art with the glyphs of the water in one side and the axolotl on the other.

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

I choose the Axolotl because we need to know more about the animals that are in danger of extinction.

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

Xochimilco, Mexico City.

What story does your design tell?

The power of Mexican culture that prevails to this day, and I would like that to unite us so that animals like the axolotl can prevail extinction, recalling the natural beauty we have in our country.

What style did you choose for your design and why?

Aztec glyphs
