Hungry Croc
Illustrative Croc perfectly aligned to the Swiss Army Knife features.

Solution

My idea was to make people more aware of their eating habits. If an artist is too focused and interested in the art he is creating, he often forgets about his physical needs. The crocodile portrays monstrous hunger that invades an artists body when one realises how famished one is.

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

Crocodile; I've always been a big fan of lizards and reptiles, despite the fact that in Poland there is a little amount of these creatures. My love towards these animals is still big and strong!

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

The animal can be found near the equator around the world.

What story does your design tell?

I had one idea with a design, to perfectly align the Swiss Army Knife's features - the pick, and tweezers entrances. Most designs don't take a particular noting of these positions, however my idea was to make the design more interactive. Front's feature is the crocodile's scale, while the back's feature is the crocodile's tooth.

What style did you choose for your design and why?

My design is a combination of simple cell shading with an outline to underline specifics of the crocodile and make it more outstanding.

Please make sure you have filled out your country of origin in your profile! It’s important that the regional Victorinox team understands the cultural background of your design.
