With a population estimated at least 4.9 million individuals in the breeding season (estimate 2004), chaffinch('cinteza' in romanian) is the (un)official bird of Romania.
The chaffinch breeds in much of Europe, across Asia to Siberia and in northwest Africa.
My design has a simple story: Chaffinch has all the chances to be our national bird. By the help of this design I want to rise awareness about this fact.
A vector illustration because my intention was to embody in a digital drawing a feeling of traditional illustration and at the same time if its possible to keep it clean and use the whites and background color of the Swiss Army Knife.

I am a visual artist from Romania. Drawing is a part of my life from a very early age. I have graduated from Graphics, National University of Arts in Bucharest. I like to make engravings, work with ink, paint in oil and other mixed media. I'm passionate about all mediums of artistic expression, I'm an artist at the beginning of the road and I hope in time I will make a point.
