Mr. Woodpecker
Essentially it's one of my favorite styles of drawing applied to a woodpecker character.

As you can see, drawing is made only out of geometrical elements with few colorful accents. It's one of my favorite drawing styles I find it quite unique and it's really fun drawing process.

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

Woodpecker. It's a very common bird in my country and one of my favorites. It has knocked on my studios window many times, that's why I picked Mr. Woodpecker.

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

Stands for Latvia and the Baltic State region.

What story does your design tell?

Mr. Woodpecker is a very systematic bird, pecking the wood like a ticking clock. So the design looks like the inside of a old mechanical watch.

What style did you choose for your design and why?

Geometrical ink design. Because I like this style since a started to draw. And after I found out that I was colorblind it allowed me to express myself through creative drawing without the negative impact of not seeing colors correctly. Because I really wanted to become an artist :)

Please make sure you have filled out your country of origin in your profile! It’s important that the regional Victorinox team understands the cultural background of your design.
