Portugal is the home of fishermen. Fishermen, all the people, who every day go to sea to collect the richness of Portugal. In search of a better life. Because all of us deserve a happier life, a luckiest life. The idea is to make this Victorinox knife in the lucky charm of each person who own it, representing is own treasure, is own gold sardine.
Solution
Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?
Sardine is one of the fishes most common and most sought by the Portuguese people. Besides being delicious, it is used metaphorically in Portuguese dictations. For example: "we want her like sardines" means that if the "best" women is like a sardine is because she is spectacular. Because of all the symbolism that sardines have for the country and for me that I was born and raised near the sea, always eating sardines of course, they were elected to this challenge.
What culture or region does the animal stand for?
The entire coast of Portugal.
What story does your design tell?
Once upon a time it was a fisherman who lived with his wife. They were very very poor. One day the fisherman went to sea in his boat, as he did every day, and felt a big fish biting his hook. The fisherman struggled, pulled and there managed to get the fish out of the sea. The fish was small, fit it in his pocket, but he had scales and fins of gold. But the best was to come... This goldfish was a magic fish. A lucky fish.
What style did you choose for your design and why?
Illustration vector. Give a more lively style. Since the illustration plays with the real and the imaginary world.

You can call me a dreamer or a child, both if you prefer. But I am only one more fisherwoman in Portugal. I am a happy girl with a lot of ambition. Trying to catch my goldfish.
