The Giant Panda
Long live the giant panda

Pandas are very likable and they seem to really enjoy life. A panda is the meeting of contrasts and I hope for the visuals to inspire people when they look at it

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

I chose the panda because it is now no longer listed as endangered, and that calls for some celebration. Also, it's an adorable animal

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

The panda stands for Chinese culture and is called "the national treasure" be the Chinese

What story does your design tell?

The panda is no longer endangered, so it's celebrating by eating some bamboo

What style did you choose for your design and why?

I chose a Chinese ink painting style for the design because it comes from the same culture that the panda represents and because I used to paint in that style when I was little. The ink has an organic feel to it, and it's fitting for depicting animals.

Hello! My name is Jonas, I am 28, and I live in Denmark. I study animation and I have been working with graphic design on the side. I created this design for Victorinox because I think there's something very unique about the use of primarily one color to communicate a mood.
