Eagle Trace
A powerful symbol for an iconic product. Perfect for a client with the sharpest eye.

My idea was to represent a classical and beautiful animal with a modern approach in design. Presenting some dominant parts of its body, like the eye and legs. And the surroundings in which they can live, the ideal mountains. The design is a juxtaposition of simple geometric figures, with realistic and more artistic illustrations of the important elements in the theme. The palette of colors combines the iconic red of Victorinox with predominantly natural and warm colors.

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

I choose the eagle, a majestic bird with elegant and fast flight. For Mexico it's a historic symbol. For me, it's a beautiful animal that represents power, freedom, and transcendence.

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

In my case, the golden eagle stands in mexican culture and history as the living symbol of a message from the ancient God of Sun and War, Huitzilopochtli. He dictated that it was necessary to seek a new land to find progress, wealth and power. Legend tells of the chosen landing spot of a great golden eagle, showing the ancient Aztecs the place where they were to build their new city: Tenochtitlan. It is now our capital city of Mexico.

What story does your design tell?

My design is a portrayal of strength and endurance.
I wanted to narrate these values with a combination of art by symbolism. Create harmony between the beauty in the wild, nature, and remembrance of adventurousness. All of this, for me, evoques the Victorinox product.

What style did you choose for your design and why?

Realism with digital accents. Because of the combination in elements and the details involved, I wanted to represent a union of classical style with a modern twist in the product's design, that could capture attention, character, as well as longevity.
