Happy Toninas
A big group of Toninas, swimming happily around.

The typical and jovial mood dolphins are always recognized for, combined with the awesome color and tones of the Toninas to make an attractive/entertaning dress for the knife. A close up as the cover, and the group swimming happily around in the back.

Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?

The Tonina, also known as the Amazon River Dolphin (Inia geoffrensis). The grace all dolphins have is just amazing; in Venezuela, we have this amazing pink kind (from river natural sources, which are their habitat). This rare but fascinating mammal needs help in many ways! Toninas are probably another endangered animal, due to fishermen and activities from mining industry and their mercury usage. We have to pay attention to this incredible and beautiful animal, it's so friendly and interesting!

What culture or region does the animal stand for?

Latin America. Amazon region (Venezuela-Brazil). Amazon and Orinoco River.

What story does your design tell?

How they should be living. Happy and safe.

What style did you choose for your design and why?

Vector design / caricature; related to their mood and personality. I took 2 skin color characters from Toninas (one entirely pink, and the other with gray tones) to make irregular patterns and dress up the knife with joy and dynamism.

Please make sure you have filled out your country of origin in your profile! It’s important that the regional Victorinox team understands the cultural background of your design.
