The idea was to show one of the most characteristic Polish animals.
Which animal(s) did you choose as a visual and why?
I’ve chosen aurochs, because it’s a majestic and beautiful animal. I picked ŻUBR (aurochs/bison), because it is threatened with extinction.
What culture or region does the animal stand for?
Poland is the biggest habitat for aurochs in the world.
What story does your design tell?
I wanted to show aurochs in a modern design way. Putting it into tiles gave the design a fresh look. Geometric tiles and it’s colours enhanced the 3D look of the design and it’s depth.
What style did you choose for your design and why?
The style of my design refers to cubism.

To be featured on facebook as the Victorinox "Pick of the Day" please write a short statement about you (see more details in the brief).
My name is Kamil Małecki. I come from Warsaw (Poland). I have been working as a Graphic Designer for 3 years. I created this design for Victorinox cause I like to face new challenges and to create new designs. I also appreciate that I could show my country and culture. I had a lot of fun while preparing my project. Also it was very enriching to see the variety of motifs that have roots in Polish culture.
