The Danube Delta is one of the most beautiful places in Romania, the second largest river delta in Europe and the best preserved one. It is also the home of Lipova people, called lipoveni, who settled here longer time ago and, together with the romanian and ukrainean people, created specific, unique habitats. The thatched roof wooden houses with blue ornaments, fishing boats and fishing related activities, together with the richness of the flora and fauna are the main atractions of the area.
Which place, city and country is featured in your design? (place/city/country)
Describe why you have chosen this place as a visual? What story does your design tell?
I have chosen it because it is one of my favourite places in Romania. The story tells about the cohabitation of humans and their boats and thatched roof houses with the overwhelming nature of the Delta, full of plants that grow both under and above water, creating undefinite fields of view between land and the moving waters.
