The front of the knife shows the Cologne Cathedral, a gothic monument that´s not only the heart of the city but Germany´s most visited landmark with an average of 20,000 people a day. The backside depicts the name, the enormous building time (1248 - 1880) and a detail of the gothic facade.

The Cologne Cathedral isn´t only an impressive masterpiece of gothic architecture, it´s the most beloved building of Germany due to a german poll. If you are religious or not - if you return to cologne and you see the cathedral arising at the horizon, your heart starts to beat faster and you feel at home.

Hi, my name is Joern Wuennenberg and I´m a graphic designer from Cologne, Germany. So it´s pretty natural to put the striking Cathedral of Cologne onto the Victorinox. Built from 1248 to 1880 and 157 m/ 515 ft tall this gothic monument is not only the heart of the city but Germany´s most visited landmark with an average of 20,000 people a day. Since 1996 it´s an UNESCO world heritage site and according to a german poll the most beloved building in Germany.
