Solution

Chichén Itzá is one of the New Wonders of the World and it has a lot of history and it is a beautiful mexican landmark. One of the most famous events in this place is during the spring and autumn equinox. Kukulcán is a feathered serpent deity similar to the Aztec Quetzalcoatl. During the equinox you can see the Feathered Serpent, Kulkulcan, descending through the temple thanks to the shadow cast by the angle of the sun. The Mayans are one of the richest cultures in the world and thanks to all the legacy that Mayanist have studied we can learn more of them day by day, so I wanted to represent one of their most notable works in my design.

Chichén Itzá, Yucatán, México.

Describe why you have chosen this place as a visual? What story does your design tell?

Because Chichén Itzá is one of the New Wonders of the World and it has a lot of history and it is a beautiful mexican landmark. For example and what I wanted to represent it was that during the equinox you can see the Feathered Serpent descending through the temple thanks to the shadow cast by the angle of the sun. In the front we can see El Castillo (The Castle) which is the name of the Kukulcán Temple and in the other side we can see the Feathered Serpent.
