Solution

The idea emerged to explain how the beautiful landscape of the Riviera was created according to the mayan mythology. The amazingly clear sea and sky and the green flora are represented with bright colors. The shapes that can be found are the ones of the guardians.

Describe why you have chosen this place as a visual? What story does your design tell?

The Riviera Maya is much more than just fun. It's a magical place where the three guardians- Huh, the iguana; Mo, the guacamaya, and Kay'Op, the parrotfish- sent by the gods, created a paradise as beautiful as only heaven can be. Huh was the guardian of the earth. Mo, flying around was in charge of the air and skies. Kay'Op was there to protect the sea.

Hello! I'm Adan Peraza and I was born in the city of Merida which is in the state of Yucatan but I grew up at Cancun, Quintana Roo. I made an illustration of a landscape that means a lot to me beacause it's about the mythology of the Riviera Maya and it's guardians. What do you think of it?
