Los Gigantes
The giant Tula Atlanteans, imposing and monumental, representing the strength of México
1/6

Solution

The front of our design is based on patterns that were carved in stone as a representation of elements such as water, movement, and in this case in particular, the body of the god Quetzalcoatl. In the back was a synthesis of one of the giant Atlanteans of Tula, which are the most representative element of this archaeological zone. Both graphics were designed with a finish that refers to the stone carved by hand by our ancestors and with the most representative colors of our country: green, white and red.

Which place, city and country is featured in your design? (place/city/country)

Tollan-Xicocotitlan, Tula de Allende, México

Describe why you have chosen this place as a visual? What story does your design tell?

The Atlanteans of Tula are one of the sculptures that demonstrate the strength of the Mexican people and the greatness of the tradition and inheritance left by our ancestors. What we tried to capture was the essence of the sculptures and highlight the cultural details that surround them, which makes them unique. We seek to maintain the simplicity they have at present but that shows that the past was something that took a lot of work to look amazing, not only in size but in textures and color.
