Solution

The landscape is one front view of the kiosko in Tlaquepaque that I tried to represent as colorful as I could, proyecting the tradition on colors of the artesanías that make this place so famous. On the back is a design of a traditional embroidery that you could find in dresses, bags and as a house decoration. This takes back to a time where handmade goods were the typical, rather than the traditional as we know it.

The place is Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, México

Describe why you have chosen this place as a visual? What story does your design tell?

I´ve chosen the kiosko, the landscape that defines this town of artesanías. When someone tells you about Tlaquepaque, the firts thing you can think is the main place; that is the kiosko. Is where you can eat, chat, attend to mass and darte la vuelta (go around the kiosko). This is the place that my mom used to talk about my all life, this is where I come from, my heritage belongs here.
