Hi, I am Bogdan and I live & design in Bucharest, Romania. I have chosen sumo both because 2019 is a very important year for the history of Japan, in the context of the imperial transition from the Heisei to the Reiwa era and also because sumo is one of the few world sports that has kept the same rules, equipements & ceremonies since its beginnings, trully connected to the japanese history & culture - among them Mawashi (the silk suit), the Gyōji & the Dohyo with its traditional roof.
