A playful take on the classic polka dots inspired by the colours and shapes of pick and mix sweets.

Solution

My name is Varpu and I'm a Finnish designer/artist living in London UK.

The polka dot is one of the most popular patterns in the world and I wanted to give this classic a fresh update. I was inspired by the colours and shapes of pick and mix sweets. Living as an expat I miss the candy selection of my native Finland - especially liquorice! - so I wanted to channel that nostalgia in to this pattern.
