Hi! My name is Alena Morgunova. I live in Ukraine. This concept of pattern design is based on traditional Ukrainian ornament. The inspiration for me was the research of the prominent Ukrainian artist M. Samokish (1860-1944), who created the publishing project "Motifs of the Ukrainian ornament". The artist traveled to Ukraine and copied various elements of national ornaments, which were then included in the book. In this pattern I’ve mixed elements of traditional ornaments with modernist graphics
