Hi, I am Man Wen, a freelance textile designer from Taiwan. I chose Chinese decorative arts as my design inspiration to show East Asia aesthetics from my perspective. The design I came up with is a symmetrical pattern. The brushstrokes arranged like creatures, including dragons, bats, crane birds, and Eurasian magpie, and which are symbols of power, wealth, longevity, fortunes, and prosperity in Chinese culture. The color is a harmony of the blue family, which gives calm and healing vibes to it.
