Hi, my name is Elspeth and I am an illustrator, designer and artist living in Auckland, New Zealand. This pattern uses the grid-based approach of many South Pacific island cultures and the frangipani motif that is often used in their indigenous designs. This design is more formal than a hand-drawn pattern, but is coloured in such a way to suggest polished shell. For those who like a bit of understated bling perhaps.
