Hi, my name is Elspeth and I am an illustrator, designer and artist living in Auckland, New Zealand. This pattern was inspired by the amazing reverse appliqué designs of the women of the Kuna tribe who live on the north coast islands of Panama. It was also inspired by my three cats and will hopefully appeal to other cat people and lovers of colourful, exuberant design.
